Welcome to the annual RivahFest Antique Cars and Hot-Rod Show in Tappahannock Virginia. Over a hundred vehicles exhibit on the Gilchrist Hockey Field and on Water Lane and are on the festival's major attractions being viewed by over 10,000 visitors attending the day long event. The good news is that entry is free to car owners and to the public, there is no registration so you just turn up on the day, and immediately adjacent to the car show area there are an array of arts and craft vendors, two dozen select food vendors representing the Tastes of Tappahannock, plus children's rides, a beer tent and two bands on the main stage - what could be a nicer day out to choose your favorite spot to relax and enjoy the RivahFest festival and show off your car.

To enter the Antique Car and Hot-Rod Show, drive to Tappahannock on June 18th, turn off Rt 17/360 at Lowery's Restaurant and turn on to Earl Street and drive down Earl Street until you meet the festival security street closure. Google Maps link. Most likely it will be obvious to the security folks that you are participating in the Car Show and they will let you pass to the next checkpoint where the car show marshall will direct you to either Gilchrist Hockey Field or to Water Lane. Please pick up the festival guide book and your car show judging competition entry form or Download car competition entry form now.

There will be informal judging in three categories: Classic Cars, Hot Rod & Muscle Cars, and Antique Cars over 25 years old, as well as Best in Show. Dash plaques recognizing the winners will be placed in each car at the completion of judging around 1 pm. Competing cars must be in place by 10:00 am - be sure to pick up the entry form from the marshalls as you enter the festival area, complete the basic information and leave it under your windshield wiper blade.

The show is organized by Peyton Guest. For more info about participating with your vehicle or helping with the car show please contact Peyton Guest at 804-445-3008. Check out the video from a prior year show to see the vast collection on show.
