CHILDREN'S ART WORKSHOP
St. Margaret’s fine art program is offering an exceptional opportunity to discover your art making ability, creating an abstract piece of art, under the kind supervision of our fine art teachers and art students.
The workshop is located in front of “B” House at SMS and it’s perfect for children age 5 to 15. Adults are welcome. This very special art workshop is organized and provided by Konst and Konstantina Konstantinov, from St. Margaret's art department - the KonKons have worked and exhibited in many cities in Europe and America. THE LIVING STATUE
Sitting on a pedestal, dressed in a costume and wearing heavy theater makeup, I look like a Duane Hanson sculpture. Barriers surround me—creating a "no touch zone"—and a life-size Golden retriever or a black Labrador dog made of plaster sits patiently at my feet. I don't move or blink for long periods of time, which naturally attracts attention and increases the public's curiosity. Occasionally, I move my head slowly back and forth in a mechanical manner, which adds to the public's dilemma. For full details go to the RivahFest Living Statue at Cross Street and Prince Street

ARMY NATIONAL GUARD
On a high-definition screen flahes the digital version of the latest rock tune inside a tent packed with newest Guitar Hero and Rock Band releases.... a traveling exhibit focused on reaching school and college students. The exhibit is a partnership between the National Guard and Interactive Game Experience “what this does is attract the gamers – the kids that normally might see us out here in uniform and keep walking because maybe they have misperceptions about the Army or the National Guard - we can reach out to a more diverse population of students here by having the latest games, new releases – some as new as last week – and give us another avenue to approach them and talk to them about the National Guard”.
