For the first time at RivahFest, Tappahannock-Essex Volunteer Fire Department is organizing a 5k run - all proceeds will be used to benefit the TEFVD. There are separate classes for male and female runners and medal prizes will be awarded.



Entry for the 5K run is $20 registration before June 19th or $25 on the day of the race. T-Shirts will be distributed to the first registrants while supplies last. The race begins at the Tappahannock-Essex Volunteer Fire Department, 620 Airport Road, Tappahannock, Virginia .

The race will start at the fire house, run up Airport Road, turn left into the airport, turn left and run down the runway to the end, then back up to the end, turn left and run through the gate to Marsh Street, turn left and run to Rouzie Drive, turn right, run around the drive then back to Marsh Street. and turn left, run back to the entrance to the Airport, turn right, stay straight to Airport road, turn right and run back to the firehouse - this provides us a flat, fast, non-impact course.
