Rising Tide on Stage 2 St. Margaret's Saturday, June 18 3 to 5 pm “Whatever you like to listen to, we’ve got it,” said George Longest. “There’s something for everyone--country, gospel, bluegrass, rock and soul.” Rising Tide has been together as a band for 1-1/2 years. Band Members: Krissy Sharpe (center) is the lead Vocalist. She was trained in opera and has sung in many choirs. She was also in the recent musical at the Rappahannock Church of Christ called "More Than Just a Man" and played the part of Mary Magdeline. She has been singing professionally with local bands for eight years. Krissy is from Huntington Beach, California. From left to right (in photo): Albert Thompson is the Bass Guitarist. He has been playing bass guitar for over 20 years and is very active in his church as their Bass Guitarist. Albert is from Coles Point, Virginia. Charles Gallagher is Rhythm and Lead Guitarist. He has been in various bands for over 10 years. Charles is from Warsaw, Virginia. Karl Sluder is lead Guitarist and lead Vocalist. He is an accomplished musician who studied jazz and commercial music at the University of South Carolina. Karl has been playing professionally for over 25 years. He was session bassist for Hear Here Recording at Wes Sound Shop in Asheville, N.C. and Bass Guitarist for The David Turner Band. Karl is from Ashville, North Carolina. Doug Norris is the Drummer. He has been playing the drums with various bands for over 30 years. Doug is from Kinsale, Virginia. Rising Tide plays classic rock and blues. Rising Tide has an eclectic musical background. They can play blues, rock and jazz. They also play Top 40 songs if requested ahead of time.
